Sean began his career in corporate finance, where he earned his CPA license and rose to the position of Chief Financial Officer at a corporation generating over $500 million in annual revenue. However, in 2020, Sean decided to channel his passion for personal finance into a new career path.

Initially, Sean worked with families at all stages of their financial journeys at a fast-growing Registered Investment Advisor (RIA). While he enjoyed serving a wide variety of clients, he soon discovered that his favorite clients were those who shared his corporate background and aspirations for financial independence. Many of these individuals had transitioned from Corporate America into entrepreneurship, building careers and lifestyles that enabled them to achieve financial independence even sooner.

Both corporate professionals and new business owners often sought help with optimizing asset allocation and ensuring their financial strategies left no gaps. These individuals wanted to worry less about their finances so they could channel their energy into their true passions.

Recognizing this need, Sean founded Purpose Built to help households like these achieve their financial goals while focusing on what truly matters to them.
